(there is a code on each card so they really have to be registered somehow, but at the moment I don't know how this works.)
m (I'm not sure how to formulate this, the 3DS manual only says this will "make magic happen". I could be wrong but that doesn't sound like technical understanding to me.)

Augmented Reality cards unlock special designed variations of Dream Eater spirits as partners in Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. It's also possible to obtain their receipes through "Link Portal exchange" through "StreetPass".[1]
