Xehanort is the main antagonist of the Xehanort Saga, although he has appeared in a diversity of shapes and forms:
- Master Xehanort, the original and pure incarnation of Xehanort, a Keyblade Master and the catalyst of most of the events so far.
- Terra-Xehanort, the result of Master Xehanort forcing his heart into Terra's body, later known as Xehanort after seemingly losing his memories.
- Ansem, Seeker of Darkness is the Heartless of Xehanort, but made from Master Xehanort's heart. He goes by the name "Ansem" after stealing the name from Ansem the Wise.
- Xemnas is the Nobody of Xehanort, effectively Terra's body stained by Master Xehanort. He founds Organization XIII and is initially referred to as "Xehanort".
