Have you ever used GIMP? Every time I transparentise an image, the image's colors lost its fidelity for some reason (an example of such image is [[:File:King Mickey KHII.png|this one]]). All I did was add an Alpha Channel, use the Fuzzy Tool, and delete the white background. And then I just save the file.
