Step 2: Open a new tab and go to the wiki. Step 3: Go to this page --> Special:CreatePage Step 4: Name the page User talk:Secret agent clank/Archive <insert archive number here> Step 5: Paste the contents of your talk page in this archive Step 6: Save the new page Step 7: Remove all contents of your regular talk page, except a personal message (if you want) and some way of navigating your archives (a list, infobox, nav template, etc, etc), and save the (now much emptier) talk page Step 8: ??? Step 9: PROFIT! So yeah.

Featured User Mess

You are competely justified to your oppinion and I also respect you oppinion and in no way shape or form would I discoursge you of it. That got way out of hand and I wanted it to stop which is why I said to just take me off if it would end it. It's not that I was hurt by the comments I was just discouraged is all. As I've said countless times already the award doesn't mean the world to me and I wouldn't care if I won or lost. I don't expect things for my hard work. I do what I do because I want to help. The happiness I get from others and being helpful is enough of a reward for me. The fact that my friend Sac nominated me for UotM was just so much for me because everyone who voted posted all these comments that made me feel like all the hard work I do was appreciated which is everything to me. I posted a big huge long message on MC's talk page about the wiki-princess business. I feel bad to dump it all there but I felt it had to be said. If you havn't seen it I really would appreciate it if you read it. I'm just really fed up with the term and the fact that twice it has been denounced that I am one. To make matters worse it's been behind my back which I can't stand at all. I'm not expecting you should change your oppinions or comments. To each his own and let it be respected and dignified. However I really plea with you to think of it in the prespective of another. As I said I do not think I deserve anything more than any of you but I do feel that my oppion should be heard and understood. Mainspace is wonderful and of course should be a very key thing here but isn't dedication to this wiki equally if not even more important. I'm not saying I am any more didicated than any of you great editors but I feel as though I should at least get a fair and respectful chance to be in this. Dedication is a HUGE concept. I feel that featuring a user that sure doesn't really mainspace edit much at all but has an undying devotion to the wiki and breaks his back to do whatever he can to help out here would be a great role model. Everyone has their weaknesses and mine is editing mainspace arciles. I just don't have the attention span, time, or grammatical expertise to be able to read articles and dig out mistakes and fix them. If I tries doing this what I do now would not be possible. I'm pressed for time as in and can barely fit in all I need to do anymore. But regardless I kill myself to make sure it all gets done. But again if a user sees a featured user that while he doesn't edit mainspace is devoted to the wiki 100% and drops everything for the wiki and is majorly helpful and whatnot. I think teaching people pure an complete devotion is a great thing. There are many people like me who are unable to edit mainspace but have potential to do great things here non-the-less. If they just see users who are brilient like you guys they might end up getting discouraged and deside that they'll just be one of those users that sits around. In no way am I trying to say that I deserve this more than you guys infact I again will say that whether I win or lose it will not change my life. There's always the month after that and so on. I am in no way shape or form saying that you are wrong. But I must ask that you think about what I am saying and REALLY think about it. I know people. In fact I can say that it is one of my few great talents. So please do me a great kindness and just consider what I am saying here. I understand everything you are saying so please please PLEASE take the time to understand what I am saying. None of the users that voted for me voted for me because I am their friend. They voted for me because they feel that my efforts go unawarded and they feel as I do that such a great amount of devotion should be an exceptable reason to be a UotM. Thank you for reading and I really hope no hard feeling are caused by anything that happens. If it would really make you feel better I will tell them all to vote for someone else. But I'll tell you right now. They all are convinsed that I deserve this. That should say something at least to you. Again please no hard feeling and I hope, I prey that you do as I asked.

And see it's even a little more than a wiki to me. It has given me a purpose and it makes me feel like I'm not just someone in the croud. It's very important to me which is why I let myself slip. All I asked was that you think about and except my thoughts. That's all. Well while it might seem like an addiction I will say it's not. I love the wiki and love helping the people here who will then make this wiki better. If I've accomplished that then I'm happy. But really Crono I will be happy to tell them to revote. As I said the award doesn't matter as much to me. There are 12 months in a year and only 2 (really 1) are gone. I have plent of chances. You seem to really want the award and rightfully deserve it as well. I'll back down if you feel I do not rightfully deserve it. If I were to win and all of you feel I don't deserve it then what is the point of being a featured user? So again I'll back off if all of you say I don't deserve it.

Well, for GSU, I used the Rounded Blue skin as a base. It was very simple to change it to match the current style, though some bug fixes are needed (couldn't tell you what they were right off) On Nintendo Wiki, I started with the GUMaxVN template. The two other wikis I've made skins for (Wikibound and Nookipedia) I did a custom skin starting with monobook as the base. Dkpat 11:16, 10 February 2011 (EST)

Oh it is certainly an undertaking and demands knowledge of CSS and HTML. PHP is a plus. I just happened to know CSS and HTML way before I got involved with wikis, so it was very easy for me to adapt to making skins for wikis. (not to say wikis are my primary web design at all) If I was not busy in real life with a wonderful schedule... I would offer to try and make one for you. As far a starting place, For me, it was best to just jump right into it all and start experimenting. Otherwise, I don't have a specific guide for Skins, just try googling about it maybe. For the most part, this skin uses images for all the colors. the search buttons are images, as well as the top image, and all the rounded corners/content background. (so.. that is pretty much everything but text. lol) all the images titled "cs____.gif, fb____.gif, sb____.gif, and Sheet__.gif need to be changed to the colors you want your wiki to use. If you want to get rid of the magnifying glass on the search, you could simply delete the files, but that wouldn't be the best solution. The best thing would be to open the css file and search for where it calls that file, and remove it. To edit the portlets, that is a media wiki thing. Go to http://www.khwiki.net/MediaWiki:Sidebar to edit that.

That is what I posted on my talk page, for your reference. And I see your progress editing the skin has gone well, iot certainly has flaws but it is still fairly good. The reason my css isn't visible is because I did not edit it through wiki, i edited the file that came with the skin, like most wikis in NIWA.
