While browsing through Wikipedia doing research, I stumbled upon Classics HD which is Sony's new method of re-releasing PS2 games on the PlayStation 3 with improved graphics and all that. So automatically, I thought about how a Kingdom Hearts Collection would turn out. And what I thought could only be classified into two words: pure awesomeness.

The Collection would feature Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts II. They would contain updated PS3 graphics, up to the point where it could look somewhat like Final Fantasy XIII. Also, this collection could include the Final Mix collections of I & II, finally released to Ammerica, with the Japanese cutscenes of extra footage replaced with English voice acting. Sure, it seems kinda unlikely, but a guy can dream, can't he?

But why would Square & Disney do this? Well, the original masterpieces that made a lot of money with better graphics, released to a new generation of gamers... lots of $$! Why, the perfect release for it would be in 2012, the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts. If not then, it would be great just a few months before KHIII comes out (whenever that is) - and the Collection would have a demo of KHIII itself! Numerous possibilities?

So folks... whaddya think?

Vonfrank - Number XIII TALK - "No one would miss me..." That would be amazing! It would be even better if they made HD PS3 versions of Birth by Sleep, KH1 Final Mix, Chain of Memories, 358/2 Days, KH2 Final Mix, Coded, and 3D! Imagine all the money they could make if they released these right before KH3! I would buy them all!

I think that'd be a liitle overkill, take too much time.

Releasing KHFM, KH2FM, (And possibly BBSFM,) for the first time outside of Japan, and KHRE:COM for the first time in Europe would be fine.65.184.80.92 02:34, October 31, 2010 (UTC)

J.Severe - If light and darkness are eternal, Square Enix and Disney should be too. TALK - The only Final Mix I actually want is Kingdom Hearts 3D Final Mix! There NEEDS to be a Final Mix for a game on a Nintendo console! I think this would be a great release! It would be a great way to introduce Kingdom Hearts to the PS3. Also, it would allow Square Enix to experiment with the graphics of the console and see how the public likes it - to determine how Kingdom Hearts III should be graphically. Also, if it should include the Final Mix versions, it would finally allow North American and European fans to finally have what was once Japan exclusive. I mean, who doesn't want to fight duel-wielding, hooded Roxas in 1080p HD? And most of all, IT WOULD BE AN AWESOME WAY TO CELEBRATE THE SERIES' 10TH ANNIVERSARY! Sadly, I don't think 358/2 Days, Birth by Slerp, 3D, or coded would be on them, since only PS2 games are being remade. However, if it wasn't restricted to just PS2, 358/2 Days, coded, and 3D couldn't be remade on PS3 because they were Nintendo games and not Sony, which owns PlayStation - unless Sony & Nintendo made some kind of deal, which is highly unlikely. Basically, Birth by Sleep is the only other one that could be remade, but that's unneeded since the game just came out. So folks, let's keep our fingers crossed that Disney, Square, and Sony consider this!

Let me remind you about Chain of Memories. That was on GBA, and then it was remade for the PS2. Also, Coded was initially on phones before it was remade for the DS. Fact is, it's the decision of the developing parties (ie Nomura, Square Enix and Disney) about which games get remade and for what console, not Nintendo or Sony. TALK - D.Dark. 21:57, November 1, 2010 (UTC) It's HIGHLY unlikely the graphics will be like FFXIII, but I find there is a high chance this will be done, and I would buy it in a second! It would not be very expensive anyway despite being 3 games (Hopefully). I wish so damn hard that SE would not have had to experiment and throw some of the games into random game systems like the DS, a phone and PSP, should have just either kept with the PS2 for a bit then moved to PS3, but yeah a port on the PS3 for BbS would be a dream! I'm expecting this to happen next year along with loads of other PS2 game series. Then KHIII pops in maybe 2012-13 and we are all happy. And yeah no love for the 360 since this is a discussion to bring games from the PS2 to PS3, this is like asking to bring Halo from Xbox (the first one) to PS3.

Tetsuya Nomura already said that KH3 wasn't gonna be out by 2012, but that he'd like to do something for the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, which is why I think this collection is our best bet. Either that, or a KH movie. 0_o... Also, no port for BbS, since this is only for PS2 games and Birth by Sleep is just another handheld game. Besides, that game just came out, did it not?

I do but I doubt it will. I wish the Japanese would share with us. As they say "Sharing is caring" and you get money. :D
