Darkside
Strategy
As a large Heartless, Darkside can only be defeated by hitting his hands and head. He, however, is not very difficult and the only danger is his HP attack at low levels. His hands are of course the easiest target, while attacking his head deals more damage and increases chances of dealing a Critical Hit. Use dodge roll or other dodging moves to avoid when he slams the Dark sphere and use the opportunity to attack his head. His HP attack, Shadow Storm, can be deflected, though you should only do it if needed to avoid being overwhelmed by the amount of hits.
Attacks
Brave Attacks
Move | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Dark Slam | Ground | Darkside slams the ground, which can hit the player if they are close to it by a shockwave. Darkside will then summon heartess while he does this. |
Rain of Darkness | Ground | Darkside slams the ground similar to Dark Slam. Howver, instead of keeping his hand in place,he grabs a ball of darkness and unleashes it. The player will be hit by the balls of darkness if they don't move to avoid. |
HP Attacks
Move | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Shadow Storm | Ground | Darkside shoots several dark like flares from his chest. As his ultimate attack and the only attack capable of doing HP damage, the attack is fast. |

Ruler of the Sky
Strategy, Location, Etc.
Ruler of the Sky is located in a unique violet treasure chest that blocks the way between you and the end of the level. Once you open the chest, this annoyance pops out. As he rules the sky, he is always airborne, so be sure to have abilities such as Glide and High Jump equipped, as these will be a vital asset.
The trick to defeating this pest is to remember its two modes: Flight Mode and Berserk Mode. When in Flight Mode, chase after it while dodging its attacks, and destroy sections of its tail. Each section is destroyed after dealing a total of five attacks on them, whether they be Brave or HP. Hitting the tail with an HP attack will NOT deal HP damage to the Heartless itself. After a section is destroyed, it will go into Berserk Mode, where it executes different attacks instead. While it's in Berserk Mode, however, you are able to directly attack him, though it won't be quite as effective as it would against normal Heartless. After destroying all three sections of his tail, he goes into a Vicious Mode, causing him to attack much more frequently, with a combination of the attacks he uses in Flight and Berserk Mode. He'll also expose his core while in Vicious Mode, allowing for you to deal more effective hits against him, thus making him easier to kill.
Attacks
Brave Attacks
Move | Type | Mode | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Water Splash | Aerial | Flight | Sends a small, glowing ball of Water-elemental magic at target. Summons a pillar of ice in Vicious Mode. (Pillar deals Ice damage in Vicious Mode) |
Zeninage | Aerial | Berserk | Tosses a barrage of coins. They may damage, but each one awards a small Munny bonus once you win the battle - if you manage to do so. In Vicious Mode, the Ruler of the Sky turns to face the player character's general direction. |
Tail Lash | Aerial | Berserk | Strikes with tail scorpion-style. Cannot be used in Vicious Mode. |
HP Attacks
Move | Type | Mode | Description |
---|---|---|---|
Raging Pursuit | Aerial | Berserk | Glows with a red aura, and then charges at player character. In Vicious Mode, the Ruler takes less time to execute this attack, and it consists of more charges before the final attack. |

Leechgrave
Strategy
The Leechgrave is a giant, immobile Heartless with four Tentaclaws surrounding it; due to the fact that it is planted in the ground, the Leechgrave only has Ground-based attacks. Attacking the Leechgrave directly will result in a nasty counterattack. Instead, attack the Tentaclaws, defeat them, and then go after the Leechgrave, which will be stunned for a while. Each Tentaclaw has around 2000 HP, while the Leechgrave has 4500 HP. Both the Leechgrave and the Tentaclaws may attack, making for a somewhat annoying fight. However, it won't do anything while it is stunned; sieze this opportunity and go all-out!

Behemoths
Strategy
While encountered more then once, the Behemoth is tough enough to count as a boss. The Behemoth can only be hurt by hitting its horn on its head. Crawling up his back is the only way to hit him. The Behemoth is slow but hits hard,so magic style characters will have difficulty. Hitting the horn enough will cause it to fall over, which also adds a Critical Chance increase. However,it will immediately counter attack after so retreat.
