Heartless are a very diverse class of enemies divided into Emblem and Pureblood types. Pureblood Heartless all have a huge weakness to Light damage and a particular resistance to Dark damage. Emblem Heartless have many more differences in their abilities and weaknesses. Heartless as a whole are much more common than [[User:Xelias0/DissidiaKH/Nobody Enemies|Nobodies]]. They range in strength from very weak (for example, Shadows) to quite powerful (such as Invisibles and Dual Blades).

==Shadow==
Shadows are very common fodder enemies, always appearing in groups and often accompanying stronger Heartless. They are quite weak and do little damage.

===Elements===
Deserters often appear in large numbers, and virtually never appear with other types of Heartless, save for Soldiers and—rarely—Barrier Masters. They are easily beaten and do not have a wide repertoire of attacks, so their strength lies in their numbers and speed.

==Snapper Dog==
Snapper Dogs will usually appear with many weaker Heartless, particularly packs of Rabid Dogs, and occasionally appear with stronger Heartless, including other Snapper Dogs. Though they only have two attacks to Rabid Dogs’ three, Snapper Dogs make up for this by doing more damage and having the potential to inflict a status effect which temporarily robs the enemy of their ability to use Brave attacks.

Detonators will usually appear in groups of two or three, accompanied by other types of Heartless (often Minute Bombs). Like Minute Bombs, they are generally more irritating than dangerous (albeit they are stronger and tougher than their smaller relatives), until they make use of their ability to self-destruct.

==Crimson Jazz==
Crimson Jazzes typically appear in pairs and, much less commonly, with other types of Heartless. They are the only type of Heartless that use Fire magic, but cannot Ignite the player. Instead, most of their attacks can hurl enemies into the air. They attack quickly and can chain attacks fairly easily.

Emerald Blues are a bit stronger than other Heartless in their family, if only because of a slightly larger than average repertoire of attacks and the fact that every one of their attacks (which use Wind magic) can not only Air-Toss enemies, but also automatically shield them with wind.

Search Ghosts are moderately powerful Heartless that can chain Brave attacks easily. They and Hover Ghosts share the “Ghastly Parasite” attack, which siphons off the target’s HP if it is successful. Their ability to teleport makes them rather hard to target and hit, but they suffer from one fatal flaw, poor defense. Search Ghosts are commonly found in groups that often include Hover Ghosts.

==Dual Blade==
Dual Blades are powerful Heartless with a large repertoire of attacks, one of which can steal the enemy’s HP and transfer it to the Dual Blade. They are fast in terms of their attack speed and have a fast block. They are occasionally accompanied by weaker Heartless, such as Shadows or Minute Bombs.

==Invisible==
Invisibles are powerful Heartless with a number of attacks, both physical and magical. They generally do heavy damage and have a large amount of health, and can execute their attacks quickly. They are highly resistant to Fire, Ice, Thunder, Wind, and Dark damage, as well as the respective status effects. Invisibles don’t often appear with other Heartless, but when they do they are only ever accompanied by Angel Stars or Pureblood Heartless.

Cannon Guns can be troublesome Heartless do deal with. ==Creeper Plant==
Creeper Plants are stationary, ground-bound Heartless that have a few troublesome attacks, such as spitting seeds that can stop the player from using Brave attacks for a short amount of time. Their root attack can hit the player from any flat surface on the stage, no matter how big the distance from the Heartless is. Because of their root system, they are immune to Air-Tossing. Creeper Plants generally appear in groups with other lower-tier Heartless like Minute Bombs and Blizzard Plants.

==Guardian==
Guardians are larger, rarer, sturdier, and more powerful relatives to Surveillance Robots. They only have two different kinds of attacks, but both are powerful and can potentially rob the player of their ability to use HP attacks for a short while. Conversely, their attacks are very easily dodged. They are always flanked by some number of Surveillance Robots.

==Icy Cube==
Icy Cubes are generally weak fodder enemies with very little heath. Their only real asset is their ability to inflict Blizzard damage and potentially Freeze enemies. They also sport a surprising resistance to all status effect except for being Ignited. Icy Cubes usually appear in large numbers, occasionally including Snowy Crystals.

==Morning Star==
Morning Stars are powerful Heartless that are slow generally, and have attack speeds that vary from slow to fast. They have decent defense (thought they are quite weak to Wind damage), and are actually rendered invulnerable during one of their attacks. They occasionally appear in groups or with weaker Heartless, such as Soldiers or Cannon Guns, flanking them.

==Phantomtail==
Phantomtails are rarer than Avalanches, but are virtually identical to them in terms of attacks, with only minor variations in the range of the attack. Significant differences include the Avalanche’s Blizzard attack being replaced with an energy attack that has not elemental affiliation, and the lack of any Ground attacks, since Phantomtails never land. They always appear alone, and they lower defenses than Avalanches. To compensate, Phantomtails have the ability to teleport.

Blitz Spears are very similar to Dual Blades, though slightly more powerful. They are fast and have swift attacks and recovery time. They also have the ability to inflict Thunder damage and Jolt enemies, a skill further exploited by the fact that ‘’any’’ attack that they connect on a Jolted opponent siphons off the enemy’s health. They only occasionally appear flanked by weaker Heartless.

Wizards are moderately powerful Heartless that can cast four forms of magic: Fire, Thunder, Blizzard, and Gravity (which inflicts Dark damage). ==Peanut Gallery==
{{LapisScarab|time=20:11, February 20, 2010 (UTC)|text=Saw that there was a peanut gallery on the boss page so I made one here. How does the Crimson Jazz look? Since the Crimson Jazz never touches the ground, I didn't give it any "ground" attacks. Also, the names of its attacks are all subgenres of Jazz.}}

{{VoidCommanderExdeath|time=20:31, February 20, 2010 (UTC)|text=Pretty good.}}

{{VoidCommanderExdeath|time=01:49, February 26, 2010 (UTC)|text=Wow, it looks like someone has been busy! Ahh, the Dual Blade, AKA the Heartless I use to grind Mission Crowns.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=01:57, February 26, 2010 (UTC)|text=Haha, yeah, sixteen to go I think. I like doing this, thinking up attack names helps me wake my brain up.}}
{{Xelias|time=01:57, February 26, 2010 (UTC)|text=I used to visit daily this page - but I grew tired because there was nothing changing. Now is just... wow ! Only little detail (sorry, but I'm like that) : Dual Blade's Spiral Drain Complete cannot drain life (as it is a Brave Attack) and I changed its name to Spiral Blade and removed the "drain life" part. The other Spiral Drain is good, though.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=00:10, February 27, 2010 (UTC)|text=Oh, wow. Somehow I got Bravery and HP attacks reversed in my head. [sigh] Well, whatever, I switched them to what I wanted.}}
{{Xelias|time=01:57, February 26, 2010 (UTC)|text=(Laughs) You just put Dual Blade's "Spiral Drain" as a Brave Attack doing so, you know... I arranged it. It's perfect like that...}}
{{LapisScarab|time=04:53, February 28, 2010 (UTC)|text=Ah, thanks for that. If I'm counting correctly, seventeen out of twenty-eight of them have been finished so far, so there's only eleven to go. Unfortunately, I have a huge workload to get to tomorrow, so I'll be pretty inactive for about a week at the worst. Hopefully it'll only be a day or two, but I figured I'd give you a heads-up.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=00:30, March 5, 2010 (UTC)|text=Got the Snapper Dog, and the Air Battler and Detonator'll be up in a few minutes. I'd like some feedback on the detail section I put on the Snapper Dog by the way, and if its goodI can do that for the rest of the Heartless.

The Heartless I have almst completely done (save for attack names) are as follows: Deserter, Cymbal Monkey, Large Armor, Hover Ghost, and Barrier Master.}}

{{LapisScarab|time=04:40, March 15, 2010 (UTC)|text=At long last, I've completely finished the first round of Heartless! Even the Angel Star, since I got to the End of the World much faster than I anticipated I would.}}{{Xelias|time=19:23, March 7, 2010 (UTC)|text=Yeah, great ! I'm proud of you... Such great contributions... And I like your style of heartless move-designing. Because yes, there are different styles...}}
{{LapisScarab|time=03:20, March 20, 2010 (UTC)|skinny=Quick progress report. I've gotten basically all the data I need for the second round of Heartless, short of one of the Snowy Crystal's attack names and some details on one of the Wizard's attacks. I should get most, if not all of them done tomorrow (along with finishing KH1, hopefully, but that's beside the point). I'll be pretty much gone on Sunday for school-related reasons.}}{{Xelias|time=19:23, March 7, 2010 (UTC)|text=All I know from Wizard is that he teleports and casts Graviga, Blizzaga, Firaga and Thunderaga. You haven't finished KH1 yet, or you're going to replay it ? I replayed it in Proud Mode - and I quite suffered while facing Riku-Ansem. He kept telling me that I was pathetic, and he was getting on my nerves. That was quite a challenge - unlike the too easy KH2.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=07:09, March 20, 2010 (UTC)|inverse=Haven't finished it yet. I got the original one after I got KHII, which may have been a bad move since I found myself getting frustrated with the controls and various other little things. KHII ''was'' way too easy, even on Proud mode (if only we got Final Mix), but I'd prefer an easy game that's fun to a comparitively harder game with an annoying control system. Anyway, I know the attacks, I just want to double check exactly how all of the spells manifest themselves.}}{{Xelias|time=19:23, March 7, 2010 (UTC)|text=Do not complain. In Europe, we don't even have Re-Chain... As for Wizards, I remember Thunderaga making them be completely shielded from any attacks with lightnings striking all around - a quite defensive move. And I do prefer KHII, even if the multiplayer mode in 358 is fun too.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=20:20, March 21, 2010 (UTC)|text=Aaaaand done.}}
{{Xelias|time=05:05, March 22, 2010 (UTC)|text=Of all members (except me), you had the longest mission to do - and you succeeded first ! I'm quite proud of you. If we had Organization XIII-like thrones for ourselves, I can assure you that yours would be, next to me, the highest !
...Now, enough flatter. Let's go on with missions, won't we ? So there's a choice : either you help Exdeath and Naruto (III and  VIII) with Heartless Bosses, or you ask me to think of another mission.}}
{{LapisScarab|time=20:01, March 22, 2010 (UTC)|inverse=I'll help with the Heartless Bosses. With three people on it, it'll get done much faster.}}
{{Xelias|time=05:05, March 22, 2010 (UTC)|xnormal=It's perfect. As usual, you'll find both in the archives and on the announcement the list of bosses. Some have already been done. And I give you the special authorization to modify existing movesets to improve them.}}
