How come you keep on saying everything is unnecessary?? This wiki is for EVERYONE to edit, INCLUDING me. Just because you think it is unnecessary, doesn't mean that it still can't be on there!! What I just put and YOU removed, actually was pretty good. It could have been a secret reference!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | How come you keep on saying everything is unnecessary?? NO that is what you think, it is speculation not fact and don't blame me because I changed something that is NOT necessary to the page. {{User:Xion Valentine}} |

Darkstrom
Is the correct spelling, as it's based on "Maelstrom". Otherwise, thank you very much for your spell-checking!Glorious CHAOS! 07:20, June 5, 2010 (UTC)

Redirecting Links
In general, any link that points to a real term should not be piped - this makes it easier for those who have to deal with merged pages, and it looks better in the coding. It also makes it more effective to use the "whatlinkshere" function when needed. Piping should be used when conjugating an article name such that the term itself changes, or when somehow abbreviating or alias-ing the article name (For example, a link to Master Xehanort that says "an old man"). Re:piped links
It is generally a bad idea to hide the final target behind a piped link, for several reasons:
- It makes it a necessity to correct all links when merging or splitting pages, or even when moving sections around on the target page.
- It makes it much harder to use the Whatlinkshere function when finding all links to a page.
- It adds unnecessary code to a page, making it harder for new editors to understand.
- To be consistent, it would require an editor to know all relevant final target pages when coding.
For those reasons, we prefer to use simple links and exploit the redirect system when dealing with official terms. Piped links should only really be used for room names and for unofficial descriptors used as links (Ex: having the text "the first game" link to "Kingdom Hearts (game)"). Why don't you try it just to see what happens? 02:00, October 5, 2010 (UTC)
You don't need to get mad at me for editing something that should have been worded differently.
