Earthshaker Keychain KHBBS.png Users like Marexl wish to create bios for Utada Hikaru, yet I could have sworn this was not allowed. I was proven wrong, so I was wondering if we should add a new category and template for KH Cast and Crew, and fill it with bios...What do you think?

It's such a shame. The Organization used to be the rope that bound us together. - {{{time}}}

Keyblade-Blk.png I don't see how you were proven wrong. Bios for the cast and crew are definitely not allowed.

TALK -
I think we had a discussion in the Articles for deletion in which we decided to have real-world articles, but specifically mark them as non-canon - such as Director's Secret Report XIII. If this doesn't extend to the cast, then I'm sorry for misleading EO.

This and this are the kinds of things I think we should do. The pages shouldn't be just a duplicate of the wikipedia page, and should specifically focus on the Kingdom Hearts-related info; for Voice Actor's, what they based their character on, a list of their KH roles, etc. Sites like kh2.co.uk will be a gold mine for this, as will some backup on wikipedia. For example, future KH games will most likely not have Utada songs because of a dispute between her and Disney. This is something the wiki should cover. If the info gets too sparse, like for production staff, we could list them simply on a page like Kingdom Hearts II/Staff or "credits", with links back to wikipedia. But articles for Nomura, Utada, and Jesse should be easy to create and make interesting.

Earthshaker Keychain KHBBS.png Personally, I agree with KrytenKoro.

Keyblade-Blk.png I don't know, I really don't see the point in having articles for everybody behind making the game. This is about the world of Kingdom Hearts, not the world outside of it.

Earthshaker Keychain KHBBS.png Me too, and that was on my mind each time I posted here. Yet it is these people who make the world of KH and deserve a spot here. But, I'm not saying we create articles for every last name in the creidts, just important ones like Utada, Nomura, David Gallagher, etc.

KrytenKoro - "Hurricane beats all housing or apartments. This sucker is a Cat-6!"
TALK -
Certainly the articles would only focus on the KH aspect, and staff members with too little info or none at all would not have their own article. But there's a lot of important stuff, like "Why is there no more Utada songs?" or "Why was Pride Land included?" that some real-world based articles could help with. There's certainly a lot of real-world info that would be very relevant to the series itself - see the Director's Secret Report XIII for an example of real-world Nomura info that still shapes our reports on the Keyblades and Nobodies.

I don't know if EO's started it yet, but I had suggested to him that we work on sandbox Nomura and Utada articles as proof of concept, and possibly even a sandbox article for a prominent VA like McCartney. Would you like to help us with those, so that they will be close to your desires as well?

Earthshaker Keychain KHBBS.png We would have to create a template for easier navigation, though. Possibly under the headings of "PoC" and "Prominent VA's". If this is to be done, we could in fact use a sandbox. I could start a Quinton Flynn one if you consider him prominent. Perhaps you should create the sandbox, alert myself and GS when it's complete, and allow us to edit it...

Keyblade-Blk.png I'm still not going to support the idea. It currently goes against the MoS.

"Articles created should be limited to the Kingdom Hearts sphere. Real world references such as voice actors and game developers should be linked to their respective pages in Wikipedia."

I also know that if we start creating articles for the important members of the cast and crew, that people are going to start creating articles for everyone involved. KK, I understand that there may be important real-world answers to questions, but those can easily be added to articles with the use of trivia sections, notes, and references.

I really don't see what writing about real-life people here would accomplish that Wikipedia or other references don't accomplish just as well, or wouldn't fit into other articles. You could put info about Utada pulling out of the series in Passion, for example, or add a "Development" or "Behind the Scenes" section to the Pride Lands article if there's actually that much to say.

Plus, as Guardian Soul points out, this is one of those things I can see getting out of hand really fast. And I can practically guarantee long lists of useless Trivia will appear on any actor's page, particularly in the area of parallels and coincidences between Kingdom Hearts and other roles.

It's a nice idea on paper...er, wiki, but I think it will just end up too complicated and frustrating.
