I think Jafar was her right hand member for a number of reasons | |||
1. Jafar is frequently seen talking to her. | |||
2. Apart from Maleficent herself, he appeared to be the smartest. | |||
3. In Disney shows and spin offs, these two were best friends, and even dated on one event. | |||
