Story

Kingdom Hearts II

As Li Shang and his men limp back to the Imperial City, several of them succumb to their fatigue and become Nightwalkers, which immediately attack Li Shang.

Attacks

  • Claw: Two hand claw-scratch
  • Tailspin Charge: Aerial tailspin charge
  • Spin Slash: Low spinning attack

They are ghostly Heartless and they hover in midair. They use ghost-fire for long-range attacks but also use their claws for close range attacks. They can be difficult to defeat if one is low leveled, due to their aerial attacks and sweeps.

Appearance

Nightwalkers have an appearance similar to that of a Chinese demon, specifically the Jiang Shi, sometimes called "Chinese vampire". A small parchment covering their face implies they are in fact cursed beings.

They wear crimson Chinese robes, but with a deep violet intricate design. The same goes for the hats they wear, which are traditional Chinese top-wear.

When they appear, the robe and hat appear along with the parchment. The parchment has the Heartless Emblem on it. The parchment is lit in blue flames, bringing the Nightwalker to life to attack its target.
