Template:Heartless A Nightwalker (ナイトウォーカー Naitowōkā?) is an emblem Heartless, that apears in Kingdom Hearts II. It is seen in one cutscene, however, some soldiers in the Land of Dragons turned into this heartless.

They are ghostly Heartless and they hover in midair. They use ghost-fire for long-range attacks but also use their claws for close range attacks. They can be difficult to defeat if one is low leveled, due to their aerial attacks and sweeps. They have no Reaction Command to help you defeat them. They are also very magic resistant, making them harder to subdue

It is an Emblem Heartless, with its mark located on top of its hat. This makes it difficult to determine its type, much like Rabid Dogs, both of which have very small emblems or in places many don't look at.

They commonly appear at The Land of Dragons, but are very weak. Many consider the Assault Rider a much harder enemy.

Journal Entry

It jumps around while attacking persistently, so attack it and defeat it immediately. Watch out for its powerful counterattack.

Worlds

Attacks

  • Claw Nightwalkers swipe twice with their claws, so continue to defend even after the first claw swipe.
  • Tailspin Charge Nightwalker spins in the air, so it's best to wait for the attack to end from a distance before running in to attack.
  • Spin Slash Nightwalker spins either on the ground or in midair but very close to it. A strategy similar to its Tailspin Charge is effective.

Appearance

Nightwalkers have an appearance similar to that of a Chinese demon, specifically the Jiang Shi, sometimes called "Chinese vampire". A small parchment covering their face implies they are in fact cursed beings.

They wear crimson Chinese robes, but with a deep violet intricate design. The same goes for the hats they wear, which are traditional Chinese top-wear.

When they appear, the robe and hat appear along with the parchment. The parchment has the Heartless Emblem on it. The parchment is lit in blue flame, bringing the Nightwalker to life to attack it's target.
