Merlin's house is a location situated in Traverse Town's 3rd district. Upon finding it, the player can only unlock it by casting fire on the Fire Emblem in it's door. After entering to door, the player is needed to jump over moving rocks flowing in the river to reach Merlin's house. Merlin's House is divided into two sections, a top section, where the player usually meets him and the Fairy God Mother. The lower section is passable via speaking to Merlin, which is also a Magic training ground.
