The Woeflower's Japanese name means "evil flower" | The Woeflower's Japanese name means "evil flower," which contrasts the [[Wheeflower]]'s Japanese name, as the two flower Dream Eaters are supposed to be opposites. Its English name refers to "woe," or "great sorrow and distress," emphasizing its negative nature and setting it in opposition to the Wheeflower; both the Woeflower and Wheeflower's names are also puns on the term "wallflower."

The Spirit Woeflower | The design of the Spirit Woeflower is a lot more punk-like compared to the Wheeflower, lacking the flower the latter has on the back of its head, and replacing the antennae with thick green and cyan horns with purple spikes scattered throughout, bearing a small resemblance to [[Maleficent]]. The pink swirl is now replaced with a purple arrow shape. The Wheeflower's leaf-like fins are replaced with purple rose buds, but they still have a yellow tip. The only thing that the Woeflower and Wheeflower share in appearance is the heart-shaped bottom of its body where the Spirit Dream Eater symbol is located, albeit it's cyan and purple compared to pink and red.
