Editing Walkthrough:Kingdom Hearts II/The Land of Dragons

{{Wtext|Ping|c}} cannot be swapped out at this point. You'll also encounter a Moogle Shop. Every time you see one of these, be sure to talk to the {{Wtext|Moogle|c}} and visit the "Synthesis" section. The Moogle will take note on how many Materials you have gathered and will give you prizes every time a quota is filled. Now, walk down the path and you'll reach a camp. Walk to the line of soldiers, and a cutscene will begin, which will introduce you to {{Wtext|Yao|c}}, {{Wtext|Ling|c}}, {{Wtext|Chien Po|c}} and {{Wtext|Captain Li Shang|c}}. During the cutscene, a group of Heartless will attack the camp. You must fight them, but don't let the Morale Gauge on the top left corner of the screne run out, otherwise it's game over. The gauge will go down everytime {{Wtext|Ping|c}} is attacked.

After clearing '''The Search''', you'll obtain an [[AP Boost]]--><!--I've double-checked this by doing The Search first; you get an AP Boost, even if you didn't clear the other two, first. It's known for PAL, but I'm unsure for NTSC or 2.5... - Uxie--><!--. After clearing all three, the Captain will now want you to clear a path on the {{Wtext|Mountain Trail|l}}. The trail can be found at the rocky exit at the {{Wtext|Checkpoint|l}}. Once you reach the path, you'll enter a short cutscene with {{Wtext|Hayabusa|c}} flying over the party. Now, you must clear a path by using Rockshatter reaction command on each group of rocks along the path before the Morale Gauge runs out. How the bar goes down is a suprise, meaning either time or being attacked by Heartless can knock it down. If it's the former, once it's low, attack the Heartless and collect some orbs to replenish the gauge. If it's the latter, avoid being hit at all costs.

The {{Wtext|Shadows|e}} are numbered, and can get close to {{Wtext|Sora|c}} in little time; since {{Wtext|Fire|a}} will circle him, use it to take them out quickly. {{Wtext|Blizzard|a}} should work well with the {{Wtext|Assault Riders|e}}. At first, there will only be one {{Wtext|Assault Rider|e}}, but once that (and the {{Wtext|Shadows|e}}) are taken out, two more will appear. Make sure that you have at least one {{Wtext|Potion|i}}, as the {{Wtext|Assault Riders|e}} can really cut Sora's HP.

After the battle, Sora will obtain {{Wtext|Slide Dash|a}}, Ping will gain five more HP along with {{Wtext|Hyper Healing|a}}, and {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} will rejoin the party--><!--Goofy will always be the active one, even if Donald was active before.--><!--. Once you exit the cave, you'll see that the village is in ruins, and {{Wtext|Captain Shang|c}} is wounded. {{Wtext|Shan-Yu|c}} and his horde of Heartless have headed towards the {{Wtext|Summit|l}}. Head through the mountains and you'll encounter Shan-Yu on top of the summit with a whole bunch of {{Wtext|Rapid Thrusters|e}}. Now, you'll have to fight the {{Wtext|Rapid Thrusters|e}} along with some {{Wtext|Bolt Towers|e}}. The battle is limited to a minute, and you don't have to beat them all. {{Wtext|Sora|c}} fights alone in this battle.

Furious, the Captain expels {{Wtext|Mulan|c}} from the army, and does the same to {{Wtext|Sora|c}}, {{Wtext|Donald|c}} and {{Wtext|Goofy|c}} (who knew the truth), rather than execute them. Because her secret has been exposed, {{Wtext|Mulan|c}} takes her armor off and decided to go home. At this point, the game will say "Ping has gone back to being Mulan. Mulan learned a new ability". From now on, {{Wtext|Mulan|c}} will use her real name in gameplay stats. Her limit is now unlocked, and can be used in battle. Just before you regain control of the party, tutorials will appear to tell you about limits and switching party members (unless you have already been to {{Wtext|Beast's Castle|l}}).

Upon reaching the city, no one wants to listen to what {{Wtext|Mulan|c}} has to say... until {{Wtext|Donald|c}} spots {{Wtext|Hayabusa|e}} flying over the palace towards {{Wtext|Shan-Yu|c}}. Suddenly, some of the soldiers turn into {{Wtext|Nightwalkers|e}}.

 

These Heartless, which are just a bunch of {{Wtext|Nightwalkers|e}} and {{Wtext|Bolt Towers|e}}, are actually quite easy to deal with. Use {{Wtext|Fire|a}} to deal with the {{Wtext|Nightwalkers|e}}, and attack the {{Wtext|Bolt Towers|e}} with meel damage (as they are immune to magic). Another solution is to use {{Wtext|Mulan|c}}'s limit; {{Wtext|Red Rocket|a}}, which can do quite a lot of damage if your levels are high enough<!--like around, say, level 17? - Uxie--><!--.

 

After taking out the Heartless, head towards the palace. If you want to save, head back to the {{Wtext|Bamboo Grove|l}} where you first met {{Wtext|Mulan|c}} and {{Wtext|Mushu|c}}. After that, get yourself ready for the boss battle with {{Wtext|Shan-Yu|b}}.

 

Sora and co visit the town ruins, where they encounter what appears to be a member of Organization XIII. Mulan appears and explains that she is also following him. The party decide to go together, and Mulan rejoins.

 

According to Mulan, there is a rumor that a spy in black is wondering the mountains. Suddenly a whored of Rapid Thrusters appear and attack the four. Sora spots the man in black, and fights him.
