I'm not sure where to put this, but I accidently switched the userbox saying "This user is a fan of Beast's Castle" to "This user is a fan of Hoffman". I want mine to say that, but I switched everyone else's with that userbox to say it too. I'm not trying to abuse and rules, it was really an accident.

:Inline notes for citations needed are absolutely essential. A generic "This article requires more sources" does not address which lines are actually unsupported. This has been standard wiki practice since day one.
:However, the template does not mean that the information is disputed and should be removed - it merely means that it is information that should be sourced. Most of the instances I saw and had to revert were ones where I KNOW that the information is correct, I've seen the interview, I just can't find it off hand to provide the citation.
:This template has been used often to improve articles, it has long standing within the general wiki community (and copyediting in general), and from what I saw on the IRC, we have community consensus to keep it. Please do not delete it again.<small>Glorious</small> <small>CHAOS!</small> 15:18, August 27, 2010 (UTC)
{{Bluer|07:32, August 28, 2010 (UTC)|The Fact template will not work the way it was intended to. Aside from breaking text flow, it is known that these tags will stay in articles for an indefinite amount of time, and so would the dubious statements it was appended on. If you can't prove the statements, you just have to remove it. That would keep the article clean from edit wars. And I rather we use talk pages to actually discuss on those statements, rather than appending that fact tag on the article and risk having people go back and forth on edit wars.
And we have a "Template:References" which is not only redundant to "Template:Unreleased" in that it begs citations for a unreleased game, which the "Unreleased" template can help reduce. The "References" template is much bigger and gain attention for citation for not just unreleased game but also other elements that needed. I think the use of that "References" template should be revised, and the "Fact" template displaced.
And also, sometimes you have to wonder, how do you cite sources for some of the statements? Here's a list of statements that beg to be sourced:
:If playing as Riku in "Reverse/Rebirth" in "Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories," a small audio glitch will occur when fighting Ursula. If the boss fight is started by entering the final door, the song "Face It!" (Which is usually played right as Ursula appears) will continue playing during the fight. However, if Riku loses the battle and restarts it from the Continue menu, the usual Boss music will play in it's stead. This does not happen with any other boss in the game or the series.
:Roxas also obtains a second Kingdom Key after absorbing Xion; however, this is not Xion's Keyblade, but is in fact Ventus's Keyblade.
:As with Destiny Islands and Twilight Town, the only characters native to this world are either Kingdom Hearts-original characters or Final Fantasy characters.
:As in Kingdom Hearts, Sora can cast the Gravity spell. The Gravity card appears as the Agrabah Bounty, and unlocks Gravira and Graviga as Sleights. Genie can still cast Gravira, while Jack can cast Gravity, Gravira, or Graviga, depending on which Sleight he is summoned with. Wizard Heartless can still cast Gravity, as well.
:If you leave the train station and go back to the market area before Sora meets Yen Sid, the tram cart won't be running, and there will be a sign that says Closed at the Moogle Stand.
:Also, if you go to the Sandlot before leaving for Yen Sid's Tower, you will see a cutscene which explains how they end up doing struggle battles.
:Sora's Keyblade is known as the "Keyblade of Worlds' Hearts"
:The White Mushrooms will stop appearing in Traverse Town after the second episode.
:Originally, Wakka was not intended to be in Kingdom Hearts; his role was supposed to be filled by Irvine Kinneas from Final Fantasy VIII
:The Assault Rider was originally intended to be included in Kingdom Hearts, but was cut out as no world really "fit well" with it.
:Tetsuya Nomura has confirmed in interviews that since "Ansem" and Xemnas were slain in the correct order, Xehanort will return in future installments and that Kingdom Hearts III will feature his final battle against Sora, but it is currently unknown if he will return as Terra-Xehanort or as Master Xehanort.
:Although the details of the design vary from world to world, the basic design is based on the real-world Zero Skateboard.
:The "3D" part of the game's title will not stand for "Three Dimensional," but rather be an abbreviation for the game's subtitle
:Captain Barbossa - Flintlock and cutlass, Undead Pirate-B - Pich, Undead Pirate-C - Blunderbuss
I must wonder... <u>how long</u> do you want that fact template to stay there? Unless you can actually prove your claims you don't go around stating it. I believe a duration of one month is all it takes, otherwise, we must remove those unsourced claims from articles.
I hope the rest of the community did not think that the "Fact" template was there as an ornament, and groaned about it because it disappearing made the article ugly.}}
{{KrytenKoro|I'm sorry that you are interpreting it that way, but half of the "disputed lines" you removed where in no way disputed, and had informal sourcing within comments. The fact tab was there so that someone could go further and find an actual citation from an interview or ultimania. That is the purpose of the fact tab, and how it's been used - NOT to say that something is disputed, but to say that it needs to be cited.
I also have to disagree with the contention that the fact templates just stay there - I've filled in a few myself, and maggosh did some just today as well. They operate no more slowly than any other type of edit process.
*For the Riku thing, a link to an example video would do.
*For the Roxas thing, the Ultimania. Everyone's familiar with it, they just need to actually spend a few minutes and add it in.
*For the Radiant Garden thing, we need confirmation on whether Merlin is native to Radiant Garden or not.
*For the Wizard thing, an example video would do.
*Example video
*Example video
*Interview citation
*Interview citation
*Interview citation
*Link to zero brand, or interview citation
*Interview citation
*Someone look up "flintlock", "cutlass", "blunderbuss", and confirm that those are the right types of weapons.
All of the examples you cited would be VERY EASY to properly cite, we just need someone with the time to do it. Most of them (the interview cite ones) are also well-known to pretty much everyone, and the fact template was simply there to encourage editors to make the article more professional. I hate to have to say it, but your actions in removing all of these statements did harm, not good, to the wiki.}}

{{KrytenKoro|Jeebus, please assume good faith. When I said "not a random anon", I meant that it was someone who was watching what was going on - maggosh was even one of the ones reverting the removal of fact templates, I believe. Maggosh didn't just happen by the article and say "Oh, hullo, there's a request for more citations here, let's dance!" He was invested in the events as they happened, (also I was chatting with him as we usually do), and he decided to just get the citing out of the way then to stop the removal of the section. It was not the template that did it, it was a reaction to your own edits in removing part of the page and adding the template.
(if I am interpreting you correctly, then) On a fundamental level, making the pages look ugly in order to force editors to complete a needed task, basically from revulsion, is a bad process. Very few pages will ever be "absolutely finished", and deciding to leave them in a horrible-looking state until their issues are addressed is basically saying "leave the wiki looking like a mess", and will likely drive new editors away, or give them a poor opinion of the wiki. Requests for maintenance should not be invisible, no, but they should also not be disruptive. Honestly, we should either move the maintenance templates to the talk pages, or make them much simpler, similar to the translation or section-stub templates. In some way, they need to be much smaller and to the point.
On an aside, if you do use a maintenance template like that, it needs to specify what exactly needs sourcing.
"Section: Keychains - Sora's Keyblade the Keyblade of World's Hearts?. " is kind of unclear, and I doubt that someone who wasn't already watching the edits would be able to add the correct cite. It should specify the line "Sora's Keyblade is known as the "Keyblade of Worlds' Hearts"", at the least.}}

Moderator Rights
::Oh, all right. Thank you. I'm sure as BebopKate works on her administration guide, she can do one for moderators, as well. I'll ask her about that. No other moderator has mentioned being able to do this (my user rights only say "rollback" if you're curious), but when I look at a page's history, I see (undo|block) [rollback]. I asked Azul about this, and when he said to try blocking him, it wouldn't work. I haven't tried going to an IP's contribution list and then blocking from there like I've done as an admin on other Wikis, but I do get the option to block an IP in the edit history of a page. - 08:50, August 28, 2010 (UTC)
:::Ah. Then apparently, KrytenKoro didn't know what he was talking about, either. Yes, that does seem like quite the rivetting experience :D - 08:59, August 28, 2010 (UTC)

We'd be interesting in setting up an Affiliation/Link Exchange with KH Wikia if possible.
Please let me know your thoughts at pete@kh2.co.uk
Thanks
Pete Campbell

:I do believe the Wiki is fine for the time being and has no need for additional mods/admins. However, I thank you both for your interest to improve the wiki. ==New Welcome==
Hello Bluer. I have realized that the BBS welcome is getting old. I have plans for a Re:coded welcome. Here it is.

Ready to Retire?
I strongly encourage you to view and reply to this forum. It has been a long time since you have significantly contributed to the Kingdom Hearts Wiki, and it has come to question whether or not you should remain listed as an active staff member. Because of this, we need to know if you have any plans to resume a higher activity of working on the wiki in the near future. Of course, your user rights and position will not be taken away if you plan on continuing your low activity. If you choose to return, everything will remain just as it was. Thanks! -- 08:23, January 9, 2011 (UTC)
Just curious
{{Kog981|text= Hey Blue, long time no... talk... ^^

{{Kog981|text= Thanks, it still work well, sort of. But doing it alone relly hard, now I know how the feeling of working alone.
Does that mean when everyone move to a new host, this become a wiki with none staff?
I never thought this will happen... So, do you move?

Revote
Hey Guys
Hello everyone. Sorry for not being able to help in the moving. As for my role, I don't think I can focus on administrating the wiki for the time being. Please put me on your "soon to be back and being a bit more helpful in the future" list. Thanks.
