Turbo was once the star of his own game called ''TurboTime'', but due to the fame and popularity of his game, he became arrogant and conceited. When a new racing game arrived, he got extremely jealous. Aware that Vanellope was still around, he tried to prevent her from racing, as the game's programming would reset if she would win.

Turbo is an egotistical man who enjoys the spotlight, to the point that he accidentally crashed his own game and another in an attempt to take over the latter. This behavior translates to his despotic rule of Candy Kingdom, where he is willing to do anything to remove Vanellope from the game, especially since he was the one who had reduced her to a glitch.
 
While merged with the original Cy-Bug, his personality has merged with that of the creatures. He also seems to have gained its memories, as he is aware it was Ralph who had brought the Cy-Bugs into Candy Kingdom in the first place. This is ultimately his downfall, as even he cannot resist the Cy-Bugs' innate attraction to beacons.
