This training toy is where the player and their team of Spirits hit several balloons back-and-forth to one another simultaneously. To hit balloons to their Spirits, the player must tap their silhouettes on the touch screen. Each balloon hit yields one point when timed too early and three points when timed right, and the mini-game ends when no balloons remain. Mickey Mouse shaped balloons burst into several more balloons, sometimes into more Mickey Mouse shaped balloons. This mini-game grants affinity points and experience points to the Spirits who participated.

In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD, the mini-game had been modified where the PlayStation 4's Touch Pad is used instead, where the player presses it in a specific area to pop the balloons with the same method as the 3DS's touch screen.

A correctly timed balloon bounce will yield 3 points. Hitting the balloon too early will only yield 1 point. Each time the balloon is bounced back, the flying speed increases, and the balloon will pop after five bounces. Mickey Mouse shaped balloons are slower than normal balloons and burst into several more balloons depending on how many times it was bounced back. It will spawn one new balloon if bounced twice, two new balloons if bounced three times, three new balloons if bounced four times, and no new balloons if bounced one or five times.

The Balloon mini-game grants Affinity points and experience points to the Spirits who participated.
In the Water Barrel mini-game, a barrel containing a Hugo statuette fills the screen with water, then various prizes and bombs appear while Sora or Riku's Spirits are encased in bubbles. The player is given one minute to maneuver the Spirits to collect as many prizes as possible by tapping the touch screen to either generate a wave that slowly pushes the Spirit away, or to detonate a bomb that quickly pushes the Spirit away. The Spirits can bounce into each other to come to a stop, or into the randomly-appearing treasure chests to open them. After a short period, or once all the prizes are collected, a new configuration of prizes and bombs will appear on screen. Shortly afterward, any remaining prizes will expire. Each prize is worth one point, while each treasure chest is worth ten points. The player can also achieve a "Streak" bonus by collecting all the prizes in a configuration. This mini-game grants experience points and link points to the Spirits who participated.

In Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD the mini-game has been modified to function like a traditional pinball game. The bumpers on each side can be controlled with L1 and R1. Also on the walls are special aqua jets that can propel the player's Dream Eaters away in the opposite directions using the buttons L2 and R2, but each aqua jet will require a few seconds to recharge after use. Also the this game can be ended early if all three of the player's Dream Eaters fall down the hole.

Each prize is worth one point, while each treasure chest is worth ten points. The player can also achieve a "Streak" bonus by collecting all the prizes in a configuration before they expire. For each pattern where every prize is collected, the streak will increase by one, up to a maximum of four. More prizes and treasures will spawn when the streak value is high. Failing to collect every prize in 10 seconds will reset the streak to its initial value of 1.

The Treasure Goggles training toy is a mini-game in which the player scans their real-world surroundings for treasures that their Spirits can dig up. Treasures include Paint Guns, Treats, Dream Pieces, and more. The player can scan for treasure by pressing dsa, after which the Scan Gauge must fill back up before it can be used again. The player must be careful, as bombs sometimes dot the area, as well. This mini-game only grants affinity points for the Spirits who participated (which is much lower than what the Balloon mini-game can grant at higher points) but compensates for the various items that can be found.

Candy Goggles
The Candy Goggles training toy and mini-game were created exclusively for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD as a replacement for the Treasure Googles mini-game, due to the PlayStation 4 missing a camera function.
In the Candy Goggles mini-game, Spirits cross the screen from left to right and right to left, each one having a speech bubble above their heads with either a red or blue candy in it. The player can aim with the left analog stick, shoot red candies with r1, and shoot blue candies with l1. When a Spirit is hit by the correct color of candy, it will give points (10 for slow Spirits, 20 for faster Spirits, and 30 for fast Spirits.) If a Spirit is hit by the wrong type of candy, it will become angry and won't give any points. Sometimes, a box appears on the field; when the player shoots a certain number of candies on it, it will explode, causing all nearby Spirits to give points.

Paint Guns are items that are used on Spirits to change the color of certain body parts, depending on the Spirit. Changing the color is purely an aesthetic feature and does not make any difference in gameplay. Each Paint Gun obtained allows only one shot at a Spirit so Sora and Riku find Paint Guns, in groups of ten, in treasure chests. Paint Guns come in several colors and each specific hue can be applied to a Spirit up to fifteen times, at which point it achieves its deepest shade. When shooting a Paint Gun, the player can aim the shot by using the analog stick or by moving the gyroscope-enabled 3DS.

Treats
Candy Goggles
can be given to Spirits to increase their affinity and stats, obtain LP and change disposition.
The Candy Goggles training toy and mini-game were created exclusively for Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance HD as a replacement for the Treasure Googles mini-game since it's control system could not be adapted for the PS4 HD Version.

When a Treat is thrown onto the screen, each Spirit randomly determines whether or not to eat it, influenced by its happiness, the current levels of Affinity Gain, and whether or not it likes the Treat. If the Spirit decides not to eat a Treat, it will repeat the decision every 3 to 7 seconds with the same probability.

Eating any Treat will raise a Spirit's Link Points. The Royal Cake gives a greater bonus to Link Points than ordinary Treats. On top of that, each specific type of Treat has a chance to raise a specific stat. Most stats can only be raised a certain amount by each type of Treat; the closer a stat is to the limit, the less likely it is to be raised further. Even with these stat increases, no stat may exceed the maximum value determined by the Spirit's stat formula.
