:::That's not correct, you need to do more research.  All heartless require a living thing.  Guardian Soul 04:58, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I don't recall hearing that anywhere, all information i've gathered states that emblem heartless are made artificially using a device that recreates the codition that spawns heartless naturly. <font color="scarlet">Myself 123</font> 21:42, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
I think the solution here is pretty obvious.  Chinese dragons are typically portrayed as wise and good, or in Kingdom Hearts terms, lacking darkness in their hearts.  Now if Xigbar had just plain turned it, the dragon would have likely turned into a shadow, possibly a neoshadow. So isn't likely that he used some sort of machine, which Xemnas could have easily built mind you, to facilitate a greater change then normal?  69.250.217.58 16:03, 17 February 2009 (UTC)
:Right, If Emblem heartless do require a living thing, then that means Xigbar had the device to transform it. So, why wasn't said device used to turn Beast into a heartless and Nobody? <font color="scarlet">Myself 123</font> 16:14, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

The Storm Rider is a PUREBLOOD heartless. The Emblem heartless were all created by Ansem, and were more powerful, apearantly. Whoever said that dragons are usually portrayed as good and wise, are you telling me you've never heard of the knight riding off to face the EVIL dragon? Even in Chinese cultour, trust me, warriors have been known to fight bthe viscous man eating one. Coroxn-The Lunar Genius
:#Do you see the huge EMBLEM ON ITS FACE
:#Don't bring up a point about European dragons when we're talking about Chinese ones. The same logic obviously doesn't apply. And what "man eating" Asian dragons are there, exactly? Asian dragons are so revered that this happened.
:

Hey someone who agrees with me. Square made an error in either designing it like a emblem or about where it came from. seeing as emblem heartless are madeARTIFICALY and dialouge after said battle claimed that it was turned like a pureblood. ::...Pureblood Heartless aren't turned. We've been over this countless times - Pureblood's are the manifestation of the darkness in the hearts, Emblem's are the stolen hearts. Just like the KH2 Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort found a way to redirect the natural flow of lost hearts for his own purposes.<small>Glorious</small> <small>CHAOS!</small> 01:42, October 8, 2009 (UTC)
:::All Heartless are hearts corrupted by darkness. Whether a Heartless is Pureblood or Emblem depends on the Heartless who takes the heart. Hearts taken by darkness or Purebloods turn into Purebloods (ex. Sora). Hearts taken by Emblems turn into Emblems (ex. random guy in Traverse Town). Emblems are made by that giant machine in Ansem's basement and living things are turned into purebloods via corruption. <font color="scarlet">Myself </font> <font color="Black">123</font> 21:25, October 20, 2009 (UTC)

It IS an Emblem Heartless. It releases a goddamn heart for crying out loud. No pureblood heartless ever does that.

check it out for yourself. It's at the 2 minute mark.}}
Of course it's an emblem heartless, it looks like one and has the emblem, what I'm saying is that the cut-scene afterwards states that it was turned into a heartless in a similar manner to a pureblood. In conclusion I'm saying that Square messed up, that's all.
