Coliseum in the film
So I watched Hercules recently, and I noticed that the coliseum where Herc argues with Phil is actually situated in Thebes, not on Olympus so I was wondering if it is actually the Olympus coliseum like it says in the article or just a normal coliseum and the one in KH was just created specifically for KH.
What do you think? Should the article be changed?

No. This article is named as it is because this is how the world is named in-game. Regardless of where the coliseum is actually located in the movies, the game trumps all. This Wiki is about the Kingdom Hearts series. Not the movies.--<span style="color:black">Xion</span><span style="color:darkred">4</span><span style="color:maroon">ever</span> 04:30, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
::What the anon is saying is that our coliseum is clearly located on Olympus, clouds and mountain and all, and appears to be heavily inspired by the Theban coliseum. The article recently claimed that it was directly taken from the Theban coliseum, which is in error. 19:58, 9 January 2015 (UTC)

So it is here where it all begins. 07:57, 19 January 2017 (UTC)
Worlds that are explicitly the same world but are renamed
*Olympus/Olympus Coliseum
*Land of Departure/Castle Oblivion (easier to differentiate)
*Timeless River/Disney Town/Disney Castle
*Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion (caveat of the castle)
*Monstro/Prankster's Paradise (easier to differentiate)
*Mysterious Tower/Symphony of Sorcery (caveat of the books)
*Port Royal/The Caribbean
*Space Paranoids/The Grid (easier to differentiate)
There are a few of these that we have, through interpretation, decided are clearly delineated locations; alternatively, like SP and LoD, there's a clear line in the story where the nature of the world "changes". However, there are at least three where they are treated very explicitly as "literally the same world, nothing changed other than the name in this one game". I feel like we may have to merge those in order to have a sensical plot synopsis. 19:52, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
:Olympus Coliseum is only the Coliseum, the Underworld, and a random town near Thebes. Olympus is the mountain, Thebes, and the Realm of the Gods, so they are different locations, like Monstro/PP, and HB/RG. The same applies to Timeless River/Disney Town/Disney Castle. We never actually see a location that is part of more than one of these worlds. I haven't been to the Caribbean yet, so I don't know how that works yet. Also, one of the loading screen social media things in KH3, mentions that Yen Sid can move his tower, which would explain it being part of Twilight Town in one game, and separate in another. 20:01, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
::I'd have to disagree with the coliseum being separate from realm of the gods -- the characters make a specific comment about hearing the same fanfare they always heard from the coliseum, and hercules' plot in particular consists of him going back and forth between these areas. Really, that's the issue with the main three I'm asking about -- those that are easier to differentiate, you don't have the characters going back and forth, and honestly you barely have interaction between these subworlds. However, Disney Town has Minnie going back and forth to the Castle, Olympus has Hercules spending his time at the Coliseum but also (implied per dialogue) going out to do heroics in Thebes.
::For Mysterious Tower, I'm talking about the differentiation between the waking and sleeping versions. While the tower itself appears within the 3D world, the symphony seems to only include the musical books.
::I think we can pretty easily keep the other five separate, with some acknowledgement early on that it is the same world, but for the three in particular I think the plot would make most sense being interleaved. 21:37, 29 January 2019 (UTC)
::: Got to The Caribbean today, and both Goofy and Luxord mention that they have been to the world before. So Port Royal = The Caribbean. 21:02, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Settings and Areas
This would apply for all world pages, but I'm posting it here. I tried to write the section without dividing by game, but I got stuck on the very first room name. You see, the Coliseum Gates are called:
*Coliseum Gates - コロシアム前 (Coliseum Front) in KH
*Coliseum Gates - コロシアム:入口広場 (Coliseum: Entry Square) in KH2 and BBS
*Outside the Coliseum - コロシアム前 (Coliseum Front) in Days
*Outside the Coliseum - オリンポスコロシアム 広場 (Olympus Coliseum: Square) in Recoded
*Coliseum Entrance - コロシアム入り口広場 (Coliseum Entry Square) in KHX
So, we have two cases of Coliseum Gates, but with different Japanese names, two cases of Outside the Coliseum, also with different Japanese names, but one name is the same as one for Coliseum Gates, and one case of Coliseum Entrance, with a Japanese name almost identical to one of the Coliseum Gates ones. So, either we could remove all Japanese names from these sections, leading to something like "Coliseum Gates, also called Outside the Coliseum or Coliseum Entrance", or we just organize it by game. I get that it is preferable to have one in-universe section, because the world doesn't change much between games, but with the inconsistent naming, it just becomes confusing or way too long. 17:13, 7 May 2023 (UTC)
:An in-universe approach would be nice if the different games didn't sometimes completely disregard the previous games layout. Monstro's mouth in KH1 leads to both Chamber 1 and the Throat, while in DDD it only leads to Monstro: Gullet which isn't just a different name but a completely new area. Halloween Town and Agrabah also changes drastically between games that having one in-universe description trying to make all these areas connect and overlap feels a bit overwhelming and almost impossible. In those instances we'll have to constantly keep referring to that "this area leads to that area in that game, but not in this other game as it leads to this place instead." Also, regarding the Japanese names, I don't quite get the necessity to have them, but it is something we consistently do for all characters, enemies, worlds, abilities, items, and so on, so I therefor think we should keep them. My personal preferred solution is to divided them by game. - 21:44, 8 May 2023 (UTC)
:Any other members wishes to weigh in on this? I still stand by that they should be divided into games, but there should somewhat of an agreement before we start doing changes. As of now it's quite inconsistent across the world pages. - 18:30, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
::I concur, I think organizing it by game makes it substantially more readable, especially for worlds with maps. Generally, I'm in favor of sorting the sections by game order, rather than in-universe chronological order, since that gets weird for data-based, memory-based, and projection-based versions of worlds. —Aid1043 (talk) 23:39, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
