Talk:Master's Defender

I know there are 2 page one is "Eraqus's Keyblade" and one is "Master Eraqus's Keyblade". I created "Master Eraqus's Keyblade" because his name is called Master Eraqus not just Eraqus. So maybe delete Eraqus's Keyblade and use "Master Eraqus's Keyblade" instead. Cococrash11

What about Master Xehanort? Also how do you move page? Cococrash11

Reversions[edit]
Why exactly do people keep reverting the edits about the shape of his keyblade? It seems intentional and notable to me, but maybe I'm missing something... Dazuro 01:51, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
- That would be because the shape of the keyblade is already explained in the article, no need to add it as trivia. --—YerMom is feeling jolly 02:23, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
But the article doesn't mention the Square-Enix connection. Dazuro 02:33, October 19, 2009 (UTC)
*sigh*... idiot...[edit]

- ...except that the hilt has never been shown uncovered, and the keychain is at the wrong angle. (180 degrees would have it pointing up, for starters. Just "touching it up" would count it as fanart - if it's not in an officially released image, it's not official.Glorious CHAOS! 05:04, October 28, 2009 (UTC)

Trivia[edit]
I don't know if it's really necessary to ask, but I feel that maybe I should. Does it seem appropriate to list the keyblade's hand-guard's simple square shape and the E-shaped teeth (as well as forming half of a square shape) as a possible (if not likely) shout out to Eraqus' naming scheme? Twilightning 15:06, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
...That's actually an interesting trivia. But it sounds like speculation :/ The17master 15:39, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
I only really aim to clarify because No Name boldly (not even as trivia) lists assumed affiliations with Organization XIII, as well as an assumed reasoning behind its, well, name, and I wonder if this possible connection would also qualify. Twilightning 15:45, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
It's our policy to merge trivias to appropriate sections of the article whenever it's possible, so your "trivia" should also be merged in the designs section. The17master 15:49, January 22, 2011 (UTC)
So, would this information be permitted? I had changed it before, but it was undone. No problem altogether, though if it doesn't belong, then I'm having trouble understanding why the math included on the No Name page belongs. Twilightning 14:56, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
The difference with this and No Name is that No Name bears outright similarities to the motifs of Organization XIII. Saying that the "E" is because of "Enix", and even more, that the square guard is because of "Square", is downright speculation Chitalian8 15:01, January 23, 2011 (UTC)
I'll take a look at No Name's article to see if I can thin that down a bit because, from what I remember, it did go a bit overboard. Considering the connection to Square Enix's name has been explicitly confirmed by Nomura, I think that could work as part of the design if it was worded properly. EDIT: I took care of No Name, and I still really like the observation you made, but after thinking it over a bit more, it is a bit of a stretch.LapisLazuliScarab15:23, January 23, 2011 (UTC)

The Keyblade Sora picks up in the teaser trailer looks suspiciously like Master Keeper (best view at 0:50). This noteworthy or...? Ultima Spark (talk) 02:59, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Keyblade of Darkness[edit]
So, only Keyblades from the Realm of Darkness can open paths to the Realm of Darkness, according to Chip and Dale. In the very next scene, the Master's Defender is used to open a path to the Realm of Darkness. By that very definition, that would make this Keyblade one of darkness, right? - Joveus (talk) 19:54, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
- Or Chip and Dale are wrong, or it's a special case due to the link to Aqua. There's also the interpretation that Sora is basically using Link Block, with Riku as his Dream Eater."We're werewolves, not swearwolves." (KrytenKoro) 19:59, 5 March 2019 (UTC)
