I don't think she has been. I think that the Maleficent seen in Coded and Re:coded was the digital Maleficent, created by the writings of Jiminy's Journal. It would explain why none of those pixelly stuff appears when she teleports, or why she seems to have turned into a complete idiot ("Data world? I care nothing for such nonsense!"). I mean, sure she has made a fool of herself before, but she's still very clever nonetheless.

well acuatley they do work together in a way in kh1 you see that maleficent travels to the other villans worlds and helps them  out and you see this in Aggrabah when Maleficent is seen walking with Jafar talking about Jasmine and how to capture her they do communicate with each other to plan out how to get the job done and then they just go to their world or a different world to do their job which is just like the org. does as you see in days where they send them out to world to do various jobs. so yea i'm a big disney villan fan and they diserve a place.

The only Disney villain we see her recruiting is Pete in Birth By Sleep, even though we don't see him working for Maleficent until KH2 (wonder what he was doing during KH1?) The best bet is she used the alure of the Heartless and the powers of darkness to travel between the worlds and found the most powerful people who were willing to work with her. She sent Pete out to travel to various worlds to find the darkest people in those worlds. He would then offer them an alliance with Maleficent in exchange for the dark powers she could share with them (mainly, the control over the heartless). If they refused, he would kill them and turn them into Heartless.
That's how she ended up with a band of minions, and an army of Heartless.

==Diablo==

Even Axel wasn't technically using it as a curse. He wasn't cursing anything, he was using it for emphasis. And also, Maleficent was the only one to canonly curse since Axel's line in Re:Chain of Memories was changed to "try to make it enjoyable Sora." == What is Maleficent? ==

There seems to be a debate on what creature Maleficent is. She is a Somebody, we know that for sure. But what kind of Somebody is she? Is she a witch/sorceress or she a fairy? She is referred to as all of these things in the Kingdom Hearts series. The result of this debate is an Edit War on Maleficent's article going on between me and a few other members.

I personally say she is a fairy. More precisely, an evil fairy. She is Disney's version of the '''''Evil Fairy Godmother''''' from Charles Perrault's original story, half of which the Disney version is based on. In the original story, all the fairies were sisters, so presumably, Flora, Fauna, Merryweather and Maleficent are all sisters.
I'm sure I'm right.

Well, so far there is a tie in the "majority vote" opinion. Re:coded says "fairy" now. That's 2 for "Sorceress", 2 for "Fairy", and 1 for "Witch".
