Gale is a material used in synthesis in Kingdom Hearts.  It is a frozen crystalized form of howling winds, hence its name; the original Japanese name, "Blustery Winds", also reflects its description. A rare drop, it can only be found at the end of the game, when the End of the World is unlocked and the Heartless that drop it are made available.

Stormy, also called Gale, is a material type available in Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts Dark Road. Stormy materials contain the essence of wind.

Design
Because of its late accessiblity, it is only used to create items on the last two lists in the Moogle shop.  Gale's most important use, however, is in the creation of Sora's Ultima Weapon.
"Gale" and "Stormy" refer to the essence of wind the material contains, while "Violent" or literally "Blowing savagely" refers to a storm's powerful winds.

Obtainment
A rarer form, Gale Stone, exists in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix.
