I would agree with Kryten for Deep Jungle — as much as it didn't appear in the rest of the series, the hints in that world are integral to the rest of the story of KH1: Hollow Bastion (the castle), the process of becoming a Heartless (Clayton lost his heart, ASOD discarded his body according to the Ansem Reports), the definition of friends, the second of three tensions between Sora, Donald and Goofy. It's only fitting that after this split comes the major split in Hollow Bastion. If it weren't canon, it'd have the same effect as, say, the Kingdom Hearts manga whereby Vexen creates several dozen replicas of himself, and they kill another OXIII member — that doesn't even happen in-game. | |||
