Legend has it that once, darkness covered the worlds, a crisis brought about by a destructive and mysterious Keyblade War. Keychains were broken, spells were fired in every direction, and the ground shook with every falling Keyblade Master's sinking of their lifeless key into the wasteland. The forces of light and darkness, once peaceful, turned upon each other in battle with many warriors, holding many keys, with power far too great for one world to hold. Forces so great clashed, the Castle of Dreams shook, and hearts were succumbing to both light and darkness with every passing moment. All of this destruction and loss had a purpose to these since fallen warriors: to create a mighty weapon that could rule all the worlds, the X-Blade. Just as the great World and Ocean Between was nearing its collapse under the pressure of the Keyblade War, all the warriors ceased, the weapons protruding from the hard ground, and their hearts lost to Kingdom Hearts.
