But I'd like to think about this rationally. Sannse, did you ever consider the fact that perhaps the upper navigation gets more clicks because users are more confused by it? Perhaps the increase in clicks is directly related to the confusion on the end of us users. Perhaps the original side navigation is just so neatly organized that it can be used to navigate efficiently to where you want to go and then easily to other pages from the new page without the sidebar because you were able to get where you wanted to go in the first place?
I'm just trying to approach the issue from another angle. And I also agree that the skin should be optional and not forced.}}
