-Ohayou Gozaimasu. Good Morning. The 'u' in Ohayou extends the 'oh' sound. Oh-ha-yohh.

-Sumimasen - Excuse me.

-Moushiwake Arimasen. I'm sorry. the 'u' in Moushiwake extends the 'oh' sound like before.

-Arigatou gozaimasu. - Thank you very much. the 'u' is silent at the end.

-Iie (iii-eh) - No.

-Hai - Yes.

-Onegai Shimasu. - Please. the 'u' in shimasu is silent.

-Houkou - Direction. the 'u' extends the 'oh' sound that it follows like before.
