» Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, Tetsuya Nomura interview. The latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine has included an interview with the director of the Kingdom Hearts series, Tetsuya Nomura. Here, Nomura discusses the English version of Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, revealing some of the game's additions. Kingdom Hearts Media have translated the interview, which can be read below.

Q: The North American version of BBS is to be released soon? A: Yes, it will be released on September 7. Even though we've added many things, the story has changed a little. Mark Hamill will be voicing Master Eraqus, and the voice of Master Xehanort is Leonard Nimoy, from Star Trek. A new mysterious enemy has been added. It's terribly strong, so winning is an achievement. You meet it twice, and the debugger had to try twenty times before defeating it once.

Q: Is it stronger than the Vanitas' Sentiment? A: We took a survey, and some people thought it was a little stronger than the Vanitas Sentiment, but others thought it was far stronger. Like the Lingering Sentiment of KH2FM+, its attacks are hard to predict, unlike Vanitas' Sentiment, which has movements that are fairly easy to read. The new enemy will use nefarious tricks.

Q: Is the new character also involved with the story? A: As with the Lingering Sentiment, at the time of KHBBS I can't reveal that.

Q: And the other major changes? A: Mega Flare proved too strong and violent, so we've weakened that ability. In addition, there were complaints about the reward for defeating Vanitas' Sentiment, so you will now receive his Keyblade as a prize. Such a modification is a fun novelty that fits well in KH tradition.

Q: Is there a new secret movie? A: No, sadly there is not, because we didn't have additional time. Instead, look to Re:coded to prepare you for the secret movie. Please look forward to that, as NA gets no mobile content. We considered many things, including KH:Days in the making of the secret movie.--Edgeshadow

Playstation Network

Several trailers have the PSN logo on them (good news for PSP Go owners), but on the actual site, it claims that it is UMD only. I don't know what to think, because the PSN also says there is no confirmed release date. Oh,how the sea calls 05:23, July 15, 2010 (UTC)

Special/Collector's Edition, Pre-Order Bonus

Should it be mentioned in the article that Germany and France are recieving special editions of the game? It includes a new cover art, 2 art prints, and a 48 page artwork book. The KH Final Mix article mentions it's special edition, and the Days article mentions the slipcover case that comes with the Gamestop preorder. EDIT: UK is now confirmed to be recieving it. Also the "Special" tab on the NA Birth by Sleep website has been revealed to be information on a pre-order bonus: a decal kit to make it look like the Japanese Special Edition Birth by Sleep PSP. --BreaktheIce16 (talk) 7:31, 22 July 2010 (UTC)

Only France and Germany get that? Grrr.....still, I pre-ordered Birth By Sleep, and I live in NA, so I'll get....decals? Rip-off! I wouldn't both pre-ordering it if it wasn't Kingdom Hearts and I was sure most-all copies sold would have been pre-ordered. So, I've pre-ordered it, and now I'm waiting....HELP! Well KoD i think that while you are waiting you should watch the BBS english preview's and play the other KH games that you have, however, if you mean what should you do as in buying it, go ahead with the Pre-Order, Gamestop said that we would only get stamps with KHD Pre-Order and we got an awesome looking reversible cover (they cheated meh!) so they are most likely going to do the same thing with the decals and BBS. Hope that helps!

Now it's been confirmed that Austria, Switzerland, Nordic countries, Benelux, Spain, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, and Cyprus will get the Special Edition. Not asking for people to edit it, I just don't know why Nomura feels he has to hide that part from us. We already know.

WheelyRampage - Replay. TALK - Tournament decides. So, browsing around I found an internet radio interview, with Jason Dohring and was suprised to hear about this Disney video game he was working on. It's obscure, but hey, sounds a LOT like BbS to me. Interviewer: The most obvious question ever - what are you working on right now, and is there anything that we should be looking for soon that you're going to be in? Jason Dohring: Okay, right on, so it's pilot season right now and I've been going out - I think I went out every day last week, and I had a couple of them that are moving forward so I should have - I'm hoping to have one in the next three weeks or whatever? I hope so, and I'll definitely let you guys know of... and I'm doing a... there's a... uh... video game for Disney that I've been working on for like the last three and a half weeks? And yeah, it's, like, really cool, because I have scenes with Cinderella and Snow White and, uh, Chip and Dale, because it's like a Disney... it's like a dark Disney video game? And it's sold 500,000 copies already in Japan a month ago.
