I couldn't really figure out how AtW added some of his data into Sora and the video doesn't get specific, but I think now that "DiZ" had Naminé input his data into Sora's heart making him, I guess, an "accidental apprentice". Putting it that way, it could be thought that AtW figured that things wouldn't end with the downfall of O13, and that his part in the endeavor would end in death so he passed the necessary knowledge to Sora through his memories. However the information didn't surface until Jimney's journal was analyzed.
