'''Shimmering''', also called '''Shiny''' and '''Dazzling''', is a material type introduced in ''{{c|Kingdom Hearts|game}}''. Shimmering materials contain the essence of fire, ice, and thunder combined.

In ''[[Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep]]'', Shimmering materials can be use during Command Meld to attach abilities that modify damage due to elemental attributes.

Shimmering materials are colored in a mix of lavender, cyan, and a touch of teal, with white sparkles near the center. A Shimmering Crystal consists of a large star-shaped jewel, with a smaller facet cut jewel at the bottom, and a diamond-shaped jewel on either side.
A Shimmering Crystal is represented by a jewel with an [[List of Synthesis Materials|Elemental material]] structure. All four pieces of the jewel are a mixture of cyan, red, and lavender, though lavender is the more prominent color, and the star-shaped jewel has white sparkles near its center.

The material's name refers to the sparkles present on the material.
The material's name references the sparkles present on it, as "shimmering" means "produces sparks under light."
