Goofy's Shields tend to come in various sizes. Smaller shields are generally stronger, but are harder to block with, while larger Shields can block more attacks, but have less power.

Goofy is the captain of the Royal Knights at [[Disney Castle]], but he dislikes violence so he uses a shield as a weapon. Vexen's Shields tend to take the name of a glacial period or of a scientific description or term. His signature weapon is called [[Frozen Pride]]. In ''[[Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix]]'', his Shield has its own HP gauge.

Shields bought from Item Shops don't have any special abilities. However, in ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'', Shields dropped by certain enemies will give Goofy special abilities. For instance, the [[Nobody Guard]] shield (obtained occasionally by defeating [[Gambler]]s) will grant Goofy the [[Hyper Healing]] ability. This is useful if the Ability points are needed for something else.
