Save the Queen has been Donald's ultimate weapon throughout the Kingdom Hearts series, with different ways to obtain it in each game. Goofy has a similarly named weapon, the Save the King. The name comes from the name of a recurring powerful sword from the Final Fantasy series. But the name for Save the King does not come from a original final fantasy game.

The Save the Queen is a staff that can be wielded by Donald Duck in Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts III. In Kingdom Hearts II, it can be upgraded to the Save the Queen+. It is the most powerful staff, and requires the most effort to obtain in the games it appears in.

Unlike other staves, there are different forms of this staff even though it appears in multiple games. The Kingdom Hearts version of the Save the Queen has a long, sky blue handle with an orange pommel. The head of the staff consists of an ornate, orange base with a tall, faded blue diamond surrounded by an intricate, yellow frame.
Kingdom Hearts
This weapon is obtained by winning the Hades Cup using only Sora (this mode is unlocked after winning the Hades Cup for the first time).

In Kingdom Hearts II, the Save the Queen has a relatively short, lavender handle with a blue tip. The head of the staff is quite tall and sports an ornate, golden heart in its center. This heart is surrounded by two blue-white wings that coil around the heart's base.

In Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, the Save the Queen+ is a palette swap of the Kingdom Hearts II version. Its handle is dark red, its tip is violet, the heart is red, and its wings are pale gold.
Kingdom Hearts II
This staff is obtained via synthesis. The staff requires Dense crystals, gems, stones, shards, and orichalcum. There is another version of the weapon called Save the Queen + which can be made if Serenity Crystal is added on, although there is no difference in strength it gives Donald the MP Hastega ability.

The name is derived from the Save the Queen in the Final Fantasy series that is often one of the most powerful Greatswords and Knightswords.
