'''Ribbon''' is an item found in the ''[[Kingdom Hearts]]'' series.  It takes its name from one of the classic accessories of the ''[[wikipedia:Final Fantasy|Final Fantasy]]'' series.  In most ''Final Fantasy'' games, a Ribbon will protect against all status ailments, such as Poison, Sleep, or Silence, when equipped on a character.  This is reflected in ''Kingdom Hearts'' terms in its ability to protect against all types of [[Magic]].  It takes slightly different forms in each game.

The Ribbon in ''[[Kingdom Hearts (game)|Kingdom Hearts]]'' is an [[accessory]], and is found quite late in the game because of its power.  The easiest way to obtain a Ribbon is to find 90 of the lost [[101 Dalmatians|Dalmatian]] puppies.  It can also be synthesized once List IV is unlocked in the [[Traverse Town]] [[Moogle]] Shop, but requires collecting 23 items to do so, including three of the rare [[Gale]] material.

In ''Kingdom Hearts II'' and ''Kingdom Hearts III'', the Ribbon is a thick, indigo-colored ribbon with a very small, silver pin on each of its ends.


The Ribbon is named after the {{ff|Ribbon (equipment)|reccurring accessory}} in the ''Final Fantasy'' series, usually providing immunity to negative status effects.

In ''[[Kingdom Hearts II]]'', Ribbon becomes an [[armor]].  One of the most powerful in the game, it is an upgrade of the [[Petit Ribbon]] using a [[Serenity|Serenity Gem]].  It can also be considered something of an upgrade to the [[Acrisius]].  Much like its lesser form, it offers strong defense and protection against all four elements; while it does not offer as strong elemental protection as [[Acrisius|Acrisius+]], it does offer stronger defense.  An Rank A item like Petit Ribbon, Ribbon offers 24 synthesis experience when made.
