Range Tech are colored green. A Range Tech is represented by a long, thin jewel with a pointed tip and a wide base, sprouting five small appendages. A Range Tech+ is similar to a Range Tech, but the base sprouts seven longer appendages. A Range Tech++ is similar to a RangeTech+, with the upper appendages taking the shape of wings.
Range Tech materials are represented by green jewels with a [[List of Synthesis Materials#Design|Tech material]] structure.


The material's name refers to its use in synthesizing weapon panels that increase the range of attacks.
Both the Japanese and English names of the material reflect its use in synthesizing Ability, Gear, and Ring Panels focused around increasing the range of both attack and defense.
