| | Prince and heir to the throne of Castle of Dreams, Prince Charming first laid eyes upon Cinderella, his one true love, at his royal ball, which was held by the King in hopes of finding his son a wife. Prince Charming later came before the Grand Duke after Cinderella fled the ball, the Fairy Godmother's spell about to break, and was introduced to [[Aqua]]. They were both hesitant of each other, the Prince holding a search for the girl he had danced with. Telling the Grand Duke to find whichever maiden fit the lone glass slipper, he found Cinderella at the home of Lady Tremaine, marrying her, and thus saving her from the life of servitude she had lived with the wicked stepmother. |

| ==Personality==
| | In the original 1950 film, Prince Charming had a very minor role, appearing only at the film's end and the ball scene. He had no voice actor, only a singing voice which was used for the song ''"So this is Love"''. But he was partially voiced when asking Cinderella not to leave as she tried to hurry away. Otherwise, he didn't speak. In the second Cinderella film, however, Prince Charming was finally voiced, helping Cinderella adjust to her new life as a princess. His largest role was in the third film, however, Lady Tremaine using the Fairy Godmother's wand to unravel Cinderella's Happily Ever After and hypnotizing the Prince into thinking Anastasia was his love. Good prevailed, however, Anastasia's conscience getting the better of her and allowing Cinderella to be together with him once more. |
| Prince Charming cares about Cinderella and becomes intrigued after their dance. He is desperate to find her again after she runs off. He seems to have a disability which prevents him from identifying people, perhaps prosopagnosia, as he is unable to remember her face after dancing with her for a night, and even confuses Aqua for Cinderella at one point. | |

| Inspired by the unnamed prince from {{w|Charles Perrault}}'s ''{{w|Cinderella|Cendrillon}}'' Prince Charming first appeared in the 1950 film ''{{w|Cinderella (1950 film)|Cinderella}}'', voiced by William Phipps (though his singing voice is done by {{w|Mike Douglas}}). In that film, he only had a minor role, appearing only at the ball scene and the film's end. At the ball, he appears to be bored with having to meet every single maiden in the kingdom since his father forced him to. Once he lays eyes on Cinderella, he rushes to her and they start dancing. As they dance, they sing "So This is Love," until Cinderella is forced to leave at midnight, leaving one of her glass slippers behind. The next day, Prince Charming leads a hunt through the kingdom to find the slipper's owner, declaring that whoever it fits shall be his bride. Eventually, he reunites with Cinderella, marrying her and living happily ever after. Prince Charming also appears in the film's two sequels: ''{{w|Cinderella II: Dreams Come True}}'' and ''{{w|Cinderella III: A Twist in Time}}'', the latter of which he has a prominent role.
