Pets are unlocked after completing {{khux|Quest 14: The Mine Pt. 2}}. Having a pet unlocks an extra 6th {{c|Medal|ucx}} slot to use in battle, which has a unique multiplier based on the pet's rank. A pet's rank can be increased up to a maximum rank of 17 by equipping the pet with up to six Medals. Each Medal equipped to a pet is worth a certain number of points towards the pet's next rank, determined by the Medal's [[Special Attack Bonus]] Level and if it is assigned a trait.
