Meanwhile, [[Axel]], [[Xigbar]], and [[Xion]] are teamed up for the day. During the mission, Xion turns on Xigbar. After Xion takes off her hood, she asks Axel to let her go, which a shocked Axel allows.
After the mission, Roxas RTC’s, and overhears that Axel and [[Xigbar]] failed a mission, which results in [[Xion]] escaping once again. He also learns from Axel that Xion is a puppet meant to replicate the [[Keyblade]]’s powers. Roxas still considers her a friend, and is furious with Axel for letting her go. Meanwhile, Xion meets with [[Riku]], who tells her to find [[Naminé]].
