When done successfully, a holograph of Sora appears, Sora and Riku each summon a colorful Keyblade, and they combine the two to form a giant blade, which they swing together in a series of enormous sword strokes which damage enemies in a certain radius.

The Reality Shift is also used by Riku to activate nodes blocking his path in the Castle That Never Was, along with the battles with [[Ansem]] in order to create flat ground and [[Young Xehanort]] to attack the core of his time-controlling powers..
