When Maurice falls ill, [[Beast]] allows [[Belle]] to leave the castle so she can help him. However, they being attack by several [[Rabid Dog]] [[Heartless]], both father and daughter are saved by [[Player (KHχ)|the player]]. Then, Belle asks the player to return to Beast as she accompanies Maurice home. After he recovers, and he realized that Belle liked the castle.

Player has Maurice and Belle proceed forward, staying behind to defeat the Heartless. After the death of Gaston and the Beast has regained his human appearance, Maurice cheerfully observes Belle and the Prince dancing in the ballroom.

Maurice is a short, portly man with pale skin. He is balding with white hair, a large white mustache, and bushy brown eyebrows. He wears a light yellow-green shirt with its sleeves rolled up under a long brown vest with large pockets and a dark green cape clasped at the throat with a round gold brooch. He wears olive green breeches with a brown belt buckled with gold. His stockings are mismatched, one light brown and one green-striped, and he wears loose brown boots.
