The Lightning Angler is an electric Heartless with the appearance of an anglerfish. It is blue, has electricity patterns spread across its body, and whiskers with lightning bolts at the end. Along with that, at the end of its tail it has what resembles a pirate ship's wheel and other pirate accessories such as hooks and anchors in the design. The aquatic Heartless has blue, spike-esque teeth with a Heartless emblem on the head.

Since Sora is underwater during this boss battle, he cannot swap Keyblades or use [[Formchange]]s, [[Shotlock]]s, [[Team Attack]]s, or [[Link Summon]]s.
