The Keeba Tiger appears to be based on a {{w|Smilodon|smilodon populator}}, a specific type of saber-toothed cat known for its long, large fangs. Like its namesake, it is also much like a tiger.

In the context of martial arts and Asian philosophy, the dragon and tiger are important symbols regarding duality and polarity of the natural world.
