|flickrushmailbaganswer2=Because we can!<br><br>*Fireworks explode in the sky and can-can dancers pour into the streets, kicking their legs to the beat of a large crowd chanting "BECAUSE WE CAN!"*<br><br>Really, though, this new magazine serves three purposes.<br><br>First, it's a great way to showcase all the amazing things our editors are capable of. Whether it's showcasing their artwork, their opinions or the simple fact that they are part of what makes our two sites tick, it's amazing to have a place where our editors are given pride of place.<br><br>Second, it's a way to reach out to all our editors from staff to newbies and bring them together. We also hope to grab the attention of passers-by and encourage them to sign up and get involved in our communities. We hope showcasing several of the amazing things both the series and our wikis are made up of will entice readers to pitch in and help our sites flourish and grow.<br><br>The third, most simple reason for making this magazine is fun. We have fun planning it. We have fun writing it. We have fun posting it. We'll have fun seeing what people think.<br><br>In releasing four issues each year (one in January, one in April, one in July and one in October) we hope to create an encouraging, fun spotlight on our joint community.
