It is a good idea to begin the battle with a barrage of attacks against Scar. In the Pride Lands, Sora cannot use Drive Forms, so the choice in companion is not as critical. To avoid this, zig-zag around the area using Dash until the attack stops, and then begin attacking him. When Scar is covered in fire it is best to just give him some room to cool off and then return to the fight.
