:I don't know who you've been talking to, Zenf3, but FFVII is one of the most popular games in the series. While there are certainly people who legitimately dislike the game (it's not perfect, despite what some hyperfans like to say; I've never encountered a game that is), I think most of the hate for it comes from irritation at the fanboys/fangirls that overhype the crap out of it. It's the only reason anyone cares about anything that's famous; you feel it doesnt deserve the fame it's achieved.
