Editing Forum:Disable the RTE NOW

{{KrytenKoro|I am sick of cleaning up after the RTE. In order to get it disabled, we need to show wikia that we've had a discussion and agreed on it, so here goes:

The thing mucks up the coding, even for extremely simple templates like [[Template:Game]] or [[Template:Nihongo]]. If inserts space and blank lines throughout the page, and in general, no one uses it to do more than type, so there's no reason they can't use the regular editor.}}

Definitely be gone with it. Also, ENX, that's why Wikia provides the "Editing Tips" box to the right of the editing window, as well as several help pages for wiki-markup. I definitely don't think that will be a problem at all.}}

I think the best thing for us to do is to get all new users (whoever we tend to) to stop using the RTE - I'm sure we all know how to turn it off. If people risk messing up with templates, we make them as foolproof as possible (like what Kryten's been doing to the Reflist and a whole lot of other things).}}

#They disabled the tabs in the Preferences bit.
#There is no Rich Text Editing, so that means our Help Guide to turn off the RTE might need to be updated or even removed.

The side of the Francophones always gets changes later than the English versions (we don't even have WikiStickies), so I'm not surprised.}}
