[[Riku]] summons his [[Soul Eater]] and fires darkness at [[Sora]], [[Donald]], and [[Goofy]] before disappearing. Having transported himself to somewhere else in the castle, Riku feels his heart being crushed, when the [[Robed Figure]] appears and beckons him to open his heart to the darkness. [[Maleficent]] stands in front of the [[Keyhole]], wordering why it won't open. Riku, now holding the [[Keyblade of heart]], explains it is because [[Kairi]] has lost her heart. When Maleficent brags that the darkness doesn't affect her, Riku uses the Keyblade of heart to unlock her heart, causing her to succumb to the darkness. Sora, Donald, and Goofy look in shock as Maleficent disappears, and Sora asks who Riku really is. Riku introduces himself as [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]]. When Sora tells him to give Riku's heart back, Ansem reveals Kairi's heart is inside Sora, and he plans to eliminate Sora to release it. When Sora tries locking the Keyhole, it fails, as the Keyhole isn't complete. Ansem tells him the world will be consumed by darkness if the Keyhole isn't closed, and offers Sora the Keyblade of heart to release Kairi's heart himself. Sora tosses the [[Kingdom Key]] to Donald and uses the Keyblade of heart to stab himself in the chest.
