==Story==
===Before Kingdom Hearts II===
Even as a child, Elizabeth Swann had a fascination with pirates and adventures on the high seas, something that her father, Governor Weatherby Swann, and Commodore James Norington discouraged. One day, while traveling with her father on the British navy ship, the Dauntless, she spotted a young boy floating on a piece of drift wood. The boy was rescued and brought on board the Dauntless. It was then that the crew saw where the boy had come from: a merchant ship now in ruins thanks to the Black Pearl and her crew. Elizabeth spotted the golden Aztec medallion hanging around Will's neck and fearing that Will would be hanged as a pirate, secretly took it. Looking on, she saw the silhouette of the Black Pearl, something that would stick in her memory forever. Growing up, Will and Elizabeth became fast friends and lovers, but her life changed when Hector Barbossa and the Black Pearl's crew came for her and the medallion she wore.

Elizabeth is first captured by the undead pirates, as she tells them that her surname is Turner. [[Sora]] and company arrive in Port Royal just as she is being taken prisoner. They try to rescue her, but fail.

Later, Sora, [[Donald Duck]], and [[Goofy]] help [[Jack Sparrow]] and [[William Turner]] command the ''Interceptor'', the fastest boat in the British Navy. With it, Sora and friends rescue Elizabeth and, after some complications, defeat [[Captain Barbossa]] and the undead pirates.

Elizabeth reappears on the ''Black Pearl'' during Sora and company's second visit to Port Royal. She alerts the party that Will has gone missing. They later find him on the ''Interceptor'' and manage to save him. Thereafter, Sora and the others are attacked by [[Luxord]]'s Nobodies and Heartless and get blown to another ship, which is then destroyed.

She doesn't reappear until Sora finds all the medallions that are stolen by the [[Gambler]] Nobodies, right before the second battle with the [[Grim Reaper]] [[Heartless]].

After the battle, she helps get rid of the Aztec treasure and agrees to Jack's crew.

===''Kingdom Hearts III''===
Elizabeth goes with Will, Barbossa, [[Joshamee Gibbs]] and [[Tia Dalma]] to Davy Jones' Locker. There, Elizabeth reunites with Jack Sparrow and Sora, Donald, and Goofy. Will and Elizabeth inform them of the situation and that the Brethren Court has been called. After some convincing, Jack agrees to set sail with them. Once they return to the living world, the ''Pearl'' is attacked by the Heartless. During a Heartless invasion, Elizabeth becomes separated from everyone else, although she manages to find Barbossa and Jack.

On a small island, the three of them meet with [[Cutler Beckett]], [[Davy Jones]], and Will. Elizabeth persuades them to exchange Will's slavery for Jack's, and Jack is taken along by Jones. After the exchange, Beckett threatens the Brethren with death before leaving, prompting Elizabeth to threaten him back. Elizabeth and the others reunite with Sora, Donald, and Goofy, when they are brought up-to-date on what has occurred, regarding Tia Dalma having been the goddess Calypso. When Barbossa points out the hopelessness of their situation, Elizabeth is stirred to give a speech, encouraging the crew to raise their colors. With that, the crew sets sail to war against Beckett and Jones.

During the fight against Davy Jones, Elizabeth battles him but is overpowered. She then watches in horror when Will is mortally wounded by Jones. However, Jack saves Will's life by making him stab Davy Jones' heart, killing him. With Sora's help, Jack forces the grief-stricken Elizabeth to escape the ship as the ''Dutchman'' is sucked into the abyss. As Beckett's flagship, the ''Endeavour'', moves to attack, the ''Dutchman'' resurfaces with Will now at the helm. With the ''Dutchman'' now their ally, the ''Black Pearl'' bombards the Endeavor, killing Beckett.

However, while the battle is won, Will is now bound as the captain of the ''Flying Dutchman'', being able to spend one day on land before leaving to sea for ten years. Elizabeth bids Sora, Jack, Barbossa, and the others farewell before reuniting with Will, spending their one day together.

Sometime after [[Xehanort]]'s defeat, Elizabeth watches Will leave on his ship, disappearing in a green flash.

Elizabeth has fair skin, brown eyes and long, dirty blonde hair.

In ''Kingdom Hearts II'', she wears an elegant, gold and white lace dress with floral patterns decorating the sides and a more abstract pattern adorning the front.

In ''Kingdom Hearts III'', she wears swashbuckling attire.

==Personality==
Elizabeth is a spirited and independent-minded character. Elizabeth has always been fascinated by piracy and life at sea, but she is also revolted by pirates' aggressive, wild nature, especially when she meets Captain Jack Sparrow, who made his escape from Port Royal at her expense. However, she was grateful to him for saving her life and unsuccessfully attempted to prevent his arrest. She thinks very logically, and is at first skeptical of Barbossa when he tells her about the pirate's curse. She shows weakness in her strong personality when Barbossa steps into the moonlight and reveals to her his true self. Her strong intellect is also shown when she is compared to Will, Jack, and Sora. Will and Sora, because of their strong sense of justice, tend to jump into battles, not thinking about the consequences. Even after becoming a pirate, she retains her sense of propriety, as well as her loyalty and compassion for loved ones (namely Will Turner, her father, and later, Jack Sparrow).
