'''Dark Riku''' is [[Riku]]'s time traveling heart within a [[replica]]. He is much like with the [[Riku Replica|previous replica]] that was created based on Riku. Dark Riku was created to serve as a member of the [[real Organization XIII]] as one its members.

When [[Ansem, Seeker of Darkness]] possessed Riku and took over his body, Riku's heart was sent to the Realm of Darkness. This process of Riku becoming just a heart allowed him to time travel to the present-day, where he was placed within a replica. Replica's take on the appearance of the heart placed inside of them, so he took on the appearance of Riku.

Similar to the first Riku Replica, Dark Riku is identical to the real Riku in nearly every way as he appeared in the first ''Kingdom Hearts'' game. The most discernible difference between them is that Dark Riku has yellow eyes like the rest of the real Organization XIII, as opposed to Riku's aquamarine eyes, indicating that he harbors a piece of [[Xehanort]]'s heart within him. He primarily wears the Organization's [[black coat]], while also periodically shifting into his [[Dark Mode]] form at the [[Keyblade Graveyard]].
