In ''Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance'', Dark Barrier is a {{c|defense command|DDD}} exclusive to [[Riku]] that can equipped in the place of a [[Block]]-type command, which can overlap with a [[Dodge Roll]]-type command. It generates a spherical barrier around the user when the player presses {{button|dsy}}. It is the only defense command that may be used in midair, causing Riku to briefly hover while the barrier is active, and overlapping with [[Air Slide]]. Dark Barrier grants +3 to [[Defense]] and +30 to [[Dark Resistance]] when attached to a [[Dream Eater]] recipe. The barrier's blocking duration is extended whenever any attacks come into contact in succession. The game also locks-on to the target who landed the attack.
