Crowns are unlocked by obtaining '''Proofs''', which are key items that are rewarded after clearing particular side-quests or defeating certain optional bosses. The '''Copper Crown''' is rewarded after obtaining any one proof, while the '''Silver Crown''' and '''Gold Crown''' are granted after Sora has his second and third Proofs respectively.
A crown costume modifications are unlocked by obtaining [[Proof]]s.
